My Dad bought a 1750 new in 1969. It can pull a 4 bottom moldboard with 16" bottoms in heavy black land down here in Texas. Has 6000 hrs on it with minor repairs, engine never been open still running like a champ.

The 1750's do not have a Perkins engine, the 1850 diesel is the only one that has a 354 Perkins. The 1750 diesels have a 310 Waukesha engine with no turbo. This engine held up better than the turboed 310's and did not have as many problems as some of the later 310's. The 1750 has about 80Hp, I don't know what kind of soil saver you are running to know if it would pull it or not. As a whole the 1750 is a good mid size tractor. If you have more questions just ask...
