Pull started it.At full throtle it would run about a thousand rpms. rechecked timing, is good.Just acts like not getting any fuel, not enough to reve up. Could have missed something in carb, don't think so,going to dump old gas,try new, maybe in govnor????? ????? ? basicaly at a loss at the moment. I Did shut it down four or five times while it was running, started right back up, not a problem. But would not reve up.Now it will not start again at all.Anyone want to make an offer for it? Believe it's a 1965 with a 588 front end loader, new battery and alt. rear tires fair, could use front tires. No grill due to front end loader.Fredericksburg,Va. 540-582-3951

I am interested in the 550. Is the bucket in good shape? Does the PTO operate? Thanks.

The govoner on these tractor can get worn and the parts outside will hook togather, this causes the govoner not to function.Usualy the tractor will rev up with a small move of the lever. You can see if the throttle moves or not,or has spring tension or solid. You live only 60 minets from me, southern md.I allredy have one of those.
