Around here they bring $5000 to $8000 depending on condition. As far as I know the vital parts are still all available (for a price of course). It must be an early one. The later ones had the 3208 engine. I don't know much about the 3150. I think since it was a smaller engine guys didn't go after it with their screwdrivers and jack the hp like on the 3208. This resulted in less wear and tear on the transmission and rear end. At least that is what I hear.

The Cat 3208 is the same as the 3150, just an early 70's nomenclature change. they were quite popular although unjustly maligned as a "throwaway" engine since they had a parent bore rather than a sleeved cylinder. They were very tough and used in all kinds of applications from tractor trailers to gen sets, fishing boats, and heavy construction equipment. I think that sleeve kits were made available for them later on.

I was a parts man for a White dealer for 3 years. While there we had a 4-150 (3208 motor) come in with a cracked cylinder wall. Had some guy come in with a machine that bored out the cylinder and pressed in a sleeve to match the original bore. Had already done 2 other cylinders on this tractor like that. Might have had something to do with having hp turned up to about 200. Anyhow, the tractor found a new home shortly after.
