1956 oliver low hydraulic pressure

my grandfather owns a 1956 oliver 550 and is having a problem with low hydraulic pressure onlyb 600psi he is using 20 wt non detergent oil and he already replaced the pump housing and that helped from 350psi to 600 psi by the illus. in the book im guessing its the spring in the hydrostat valve (relief valve)in the internal control valve?? whats my next step to help him out and where do i get oliver parts?????

might be the relief valve is weak, also maybe the pump internals are worn. Try the nearest AGCO dealer. The one in my area does real well on parts for my WHite. good luck

Does the 3 point hitch raise? Does it have the external hydralic control valve opion (Remote hydraulic valve)? if it does oil may be by-passing the check valve,, over the years of use this valve gets a grove cut in it,,, you can sand the tip with very very fine!!! sand paper I belive it is item 12 in the parts book (Valve assembly Hydraulic external control)
