Trying to post a pic of my 1950 GM I am currenly overhauling the engine. It had a busted piston, 3 stuck rings one was missing off #4 piston. 4 valves were burnt and none were seating correctly. Valve springs were also worn flat. Hope to have it going in 2 weeeks. JT

Enjoyed seeing the picture of your 1950.What size plow are you pulling?Back in the early 70's we had a 1966 1950 and pulled a 6x16 on the land hitch Oliver plow.That was a load for it.

In a couple of weeks my 1967 Oliver 1950 will be in the field pulling a 21ft Krause disk.Of course I will have the straight pipe on so everyone can hear that sweet little Detroit.Those 4-53's are a tough little motor.

The plows I was pulling are 4-14 John Deere , trailer type with the spring hitch. The ground was tight enough that if I took off hard the hitch would trip. Has not been broke for 40 years or more. I had plenty of power, my engine at that time was in horrible shape. About a week from now I hope to have it together again. I'll post a shot of my 990. JT
