I have I major problem here. Just replaced the hydraulic pump with one of the new styles that AGCO offers this summer and the PTO quit working. It shattered the clutch housing and brake piston. The mechanic said that one of the rivets in the clutch housing probably caught on the brake band and shattered the the two parts. In the fall the PTO quit working again and I just took it apart and the clutch housing is cracked. I mentioned the hydraulic pump because I think that maybe the pressure is to high. Also, I think that the washers, spring, etc. that hold the clutch plates in place maybe put together wrong. The actuator plate that has three fingers that go through the clutch housing has wear groves in it. Thanks for the help!

Larry is correct in that you have a valve problem. There is a cast housing that contains four valves for the hydraulic functions. One of the four valves, lower inside is a pressure reducing valve that controls pressure to the PTO and brakes. Check the pressure coming to the PTO valve, it should be betweeen 200 and 240 PSI. Follow Larry's suggestion and clean the valve until it moves freely in the bore of the housing.

If your oridgeinal pump over heated there is a good chance the regulating valves are stuck. You can take the end plugs out push them with your fingers to see if stuck. This is the big multiple valve near the pump.I had to drive mine out with a brass punch, washed them off and they slid easy.
