My 1755 seems to be getting air in the system. It makes ocasional loud buzzing sounds and operates jerkey when a large amount of flow is required. Oil in the resivor is full of air bubbles when this occures. I changed the filter and oil this helped a little. Flow and pressure are good. Any Ideas?

If your tractor is equiped with the small pump along the left side of the tractor, you may want to check the connections, especially the small line going to the power stearing gear in the front. The small line is used to take off any excess oil which is designed to pass by the piston to lubricate the gears. One of my workers worked on this gearbox once and damaged the fitting to the small line. Due to the suction of the small pump and the hydralic system, the system got as much air as it needed. Took us almost 3 months to figure this one out. You may also want to check for any restrictions or loose hoses prior to the hydralic pump.

When i had this problem ,i found the cylinder on the implement was bad and it allowed so much air in the pump would stop pumping completely.

Check your power steering pump on the left side up near the front of the tractor that drives off the crank with a belt. These are famous for blowing the little gasket behind the pully and intraining air into the entire system. It may or may not be leaking oil out of the pump, if it is replace the gasket for sure. Spray some WD-40 around the area where the pump splits behind the pully and see if it sucks the WD-40 in. Saw this happen with an 1855. I would start there.
