550 Oliver rim size

I own a 550 oliver and like to know what was the rear wheel rim size, my tractor has 26" rims but I was told Oliver only put 24" on the 550. Any information is appreciated.

My early service manual shows 24 standard, 26 optional. I've run 16.9-26 turfs on my S55 but I had to put tall truck tires on the front to keep the fluid levels even. She sits ral nice with 11.4-24's. The rims interchange with Massey, Ford, and Case; 8 holes on 8". Watch the center hole diameter though!

550 Olivers had several rim sizes. My father bought a 550 new in 1958, we still have it. He ordered it with 28 inch rims. The reason was he had a tractor with new tires and it blew up. So he put those tires on the 550 when it came in to the local dealer. 26 inch rims were standard.
