The exhaust pipe broke off right at the manifold. I was thinking about buying a flange and taping the manifold and bolting the two together. Any other solutions other than buying a new manifold. Thanks.

The exhaust mainfold has a short piece of pipe that is threaded into the cast manifold for muffler attachment. You should be able to dig the pipe out and replace. If you have a torch, you should be able to melt the pipe out as the steel will melt before the cast manifold.
