Probably aftermarket conversion. I once saw a David Brown 990 with a 350 Chevy, which was definitely not a factory option. Having said that, Chrysler did make an industrial V8 engine that did find its way into a lot of tractor-like equipment such as ski-groomers and Bombardier off-road tracked logging vehicles, so the idea of a Chrysler V8-powered tractor is not so far fetched after all.

In 1957, Cockshutt made the round nose models: 20, 30, 35, 40, 50. In 1958, the new models were introduced: 540, 550, 560, and 570. All were powered by Buda, Continental, Hercules, and Perkins engines. Then there were all the Oliver built Cockshutts. None came with a V8, and none were called 600.
