How is the tension of an 88 fan belt adjusted? I do not see any visible means of doing this.

This is right out of the Oliver Manual. The fan, fan pulley and generator drive pulley aer held to the fan monting flange on the water pump shaft by four cap screws. Separate belts drive the fan and the generator. Adjust fan belt tension with the adjustable rear flange on the fan drive pulley which is mounted on the crankshaft. The adjustable flange is held to the pulley by three cap screws which pass throught the oblique slotted holes in the flange. Lossen the nuts on the screws and rotate the flange to the right as it is faced from the front of the tractor, so that the flange moves forward, until the fan belt has about 3/4 to 1 inch slack. Tighten the nuts. The gnerator belt is adjusted by moving the generator in or out on the adjusting link. Hope this is clear to you. If not ema
