What is the max. Hyd. pressure I can run? Right now I'm at 2100 psi, but I was curious if I could turn it up a few hundred pounds more - say 2400 or so.

Sorry, it's a 65 1650. I was reading in the manual where the thermal relief valves are set for over 5000#, then the internal 3pt is 2500#, the power steering is 1500# and the Main is 2100#?? I need about 2400-2500# for my new loader to operate properly (a little weak at 2100# on power down).

I would not go over 2250psi this is where similar newer tractors are set. Are you getting the full preasure to the loader?is the relief valve blowing when you use it? At one time oliver had a replacement relief valve of a differant design which was supposed to help in loader operation.

Yes Larry, when I power down the loader for digging and such, the relief valves goes off. If the tractor is running at a higher rpm the relief will go off easier, if the tractor is at idle, I'll get a little more down stroke before the relief goes off. I checked the pressure directly on my hoses going to the loader and the relief is going off at 2100# on the nose. The loader will lift the front wheels off the ground at idle, at full throttle, it won't even try to lift the wheels up. The loader has 2.5" cylinders with 1.5" rods (brand new loader). I know ya are wondering why I want to be able to lift the front of the tractor up but let me say, more often than one might think. (posts, digging, dragging & smoothing....)
