How much differnt is IH red from Cockshutt red? Will people notice the differnce? I will be painting my Black Hawk 40 this summer and was wondering.

Matt IH red is a diferent shade of red than cockshutt red I have used the ppg colors and have had good luck if you are painting the whole tractor you could get by using the IH red because there is no other color to compare to

I went to AGCO and purchased American Serries Red, a resonable price, I do not know how close to orignal color it is, but has held up well thelast 5 years.

Ih farmall red and massey-ferguson red mixed half and half will give you a very close cockshutt red. Gelh maize yellow a very close cockshutt yellow. All good enamels and not very expensive. Got the formula from an old issue cockshutt quarterly and have had outstandng results and many compliments.

hi all, here is a perfect match for the cockshutt red and yellow, it is called P.P.G. omni paint, it is right around 60.00 a gallon for the red and 50.00 for the yellow, cockshutt red # mtk78210B cockshutt yellow # mtk88234A

I am a memeber of the cockshutt club, and there was a list of paint codes, I was jsut going to use the one they list for yellow, I am not sure how close it is. They give a price on how much a gal of red would be and its $120, kind of high for my blood so I was going to use IH red or something close. The price they give for yellow was $75 a gal,for Sherwin-Williams paint. I do not know of any other yellows that could be used. If you want the codes you can email me and I will send you them.

Some people say the Magnum Red is real close to the Cockshutt Red.To me red is red.

Having used the " cheaper " paints and the more expensive ones go with the automotive paint .The paint applies easier and will give better longer lasting job. Reds are bad for fading even if they are indoor stored if they are outside you can get a lovely shade of pink. sherwin williams # are yellow JK-6475 red- JK-8522-G harvest gold JK-8523
