Its a David Brown 850 in Oliver clothing. I saw one for many months in a dealer's yard in the '70's- don't know what they finally did with it. I think they got kind of a bad rap- being thought of in the same way as the Fiat Olivers- but I don't think the David Browns were that bad. There are still a lot of DB's around here, anyhow, but may be because of the efforts of the dealer (now long since broke) 30 or 40 years ago. There was also an Oliver 600, I understand, that was just a bigger David Brown. There have been a few inquiries on the boards about parts, when people discover what they have (White dealers have never heard of them, and books don't make any reference to them). Reminds me of a MF 130(ever heard of one?) I bought at auction- looked like any other MF to me- but turned out to be some foreign French job for which parts were impossible to find. I fixed it up as best I could, and took it to a consignment auction. I happened to be close enough to the tractor after the sale to overhear the buyer telling his wife about his purchase- He looked at the ID tag- his voice got noticeably higher when he said, "Made in FRANCE. . . *&#@*%&!"

I have an oliver 500 and I can't find any information about it, not even a nomenclature plate on the tractor which will allow me to get a manual, can you offer any help?
