Hi,

can anyone help with parts info. Where is a good place to get parts for oliver tractor's? I would also like to pull my tractor but would like to still use it around my place. what is the most cost effictive way to increase hp?

Good comments from Jerry. Only thing I would add is to increase compression by having head shaved but no more than 0.125". This will also increase power considerably but if you go the full 0.125", you may have to run full or a blend of high (110) octane fuel in the tank to prevent preignition. Go 1/2 of 0.125", and you should be able to run pump gas in the Oliver but you will still get a definite increase in power. Will only cost you some time in pulling the head and about $60-$80 in shop work. Good luck and have fun!!!

A mild cam shaft regrind will help considerabley.
Also a reworked or aftermarket intake manifold, larger carburator, and an MSD ignition set up are good worthwhile improvements that will not break the bank and leave the engine stock enough to be dependable. A larger, more efficent air cleaner will help as well.
