Anyone seen an OC-6 diesel and know where the battery is located. Ours has it under the seat and I don't think that is right. I think the gas models have the battery under the gas tank, but I'm not sure if there is room enough for the diesels if you use two batteries instead on one.

The OC-6 batteries for a diesel are located under the fuel tank. It has a battery tray that is fits over 4 rubber pieces. The clearance between the top of the batteries and the fuel tank is very close. Let me know if you need dimensions. DAVE

Have a photo that came from Dumont's museum last fall. His seat type may be different from yours but you could give them a call or E-mail for battery location.

Just remembered the HPOCA magazine front cover photo and article in Sept/Oct 1999 edition. Buddy Webber's OC-6 diesel (has a box seat), plus there is a pix of a high crop OC-6 diesel. Still can't tell you where the batteries go! Cool crawler.

What i'm wondering is if they ever located the battery box under the seat. The one we have is, but it looks like something someone threw together. It doesn't look original, but there are a few pieces that look like they may be. I have a gas parts book but not a diesel so I just don't know what they used. Thanks for the picture.
