Thanks to everyone who offered advice to my various posts on the trouble i was having getting my cockshutt 30 running right after rebuild. It is running well now.The problem was in the govenor.During reassembly i missed the fact that a thrust washer behind the gear on the gov shaft is pin located in the housing.REsulted in the flyballs being 1/8"forward.Also resulted in a cleaned up carb and a nice tidy rewire job.Once i re-assembled things correctly she was easly tuned.
I was tipped off by examening my spares.Noticed the pin hole in the washers and several dipples were it was in wrong in past. All 3 gov i have showed the same misstake has been made many times.Take a mental note, learn from my,and others, mistake.
Thanks
Al
