I bought a oliver 1800 that the rockshafts will only lift when the auxiliary hyd. are cycled. The shafts lift in short jumps. I have installed a new hyd. pump and all gaskets and o-rings involved in this procedure. I also cleaned the servo valve and replaced o-rings there. The ram seems to be working as it does lift as described above and holds pressure. The aux. hyd. have good pressure and the steering work well. The bolt on the side of the main housing is turned in as this seems to be everyones question. I am running out of ideas and have asked all local persons with any knowledge of olivers. Can anyone help. I need to begin using this tractor.I am also taking alot of rif for buying an oliver but I think they are great tractors.

Sounds like a bad servo valve.he servo valve is a open center valve so oil flows through it when not operating. When working it should direct oil to cyl,the remotes are raising the preasure monentarly. I would guess the lowering valve is sticking. IN any case this valve should be looked at agian. I have 2 spares and would try another first.
