We are looking at a '72 or '73 1955 4wd. It has 4500 hours, with a complete engine rebuild and general overhaul about 1000 hours ago. They put new seals in the front axles, new PTO clutch and brake, new 4wd clutch, 3 fairly new tires, and a bunch of other stuff. It looks good and runs good. It has the White dash console, and there is no cab or loader. The guy is asking $9000 for it. Does that seem like a fair price? Thanks in advance.

I've been looking for one of those high and low. there hard to find! $9,000 is more than I would pay. But I'd look at how it fits your operation, and just how much use you can get out of it. Just for alittle comparison, I bought a 73' 2255 MFWD 3,900 hrs, new hyd pump about a year and a 3/4 ago for $6,800. I've stuck some money in it and now have around $9,000 in it. I could not replace what it can do with a competitive machene for less than $20,000 give or take a little. The mfwd is worth it's weight in gold especially in tuff going. Good luck
