Purchased my Oliver 550 Dsl in 1995. Sold to me as a "1958" model.

My I&T Manual (p/n O-201) claims s/n & spec # is on LH side center frame & engine s/n stamped RH rear engine flange.

On left side of block all I can find is the following in sequence as listed:
130220L
159002A
11286 encircled in retangle.

I suspect tractor is either late '63 model using 130220L value or late '64 model using 159002A. Any assistance would be genuinely appreciated.

The numbers that you provided (cast into the crankcase) mean :
130 220L is Waukesha part number
159 002A is Oliver Part Number (a prime number)
11286 is the date the casting was poured in Charles City Plant... November 28, 66, meaning the tractor is probably a 1967, unless engine was changed for some reason. Your Serial Number will provide the year. Engine serial number location was changed during production, yours is stamped vertically on the boss under the generator mounting.

To All -
Thanks for the info. especially the history. Tommorow I will begin looking on the boss under the generator mounting. Been planting pine trees all day. This a.m. I looked all over the place today (12/23) for a s/n tag on the frame etc. Started to think I was stupid for not being able to find it.
Happy Holidays !

Shep,
There is an id plate on the left side of the tractor next to the clutch pedal. It will show the serial #. I think the #'s you listed are casting #'s and don't mean much.
