88 three point

i just bought an 88 today and would like to ad a three point to it and want to know if any came with one and if i can find one used somewhere or if there is an after market unit available?

doug, Larry Harsin just installed an AM 3-pt hitch on my Oliver 77.

he has an oliver website, and is very knowledgeable.

i'd imagine the issues with an 88 vs a 77 would be at least similar.

search @ yahoo and check his site out. he has discussion forums for Q&A. see what he says.....

yes.
somebody in the last week advertised a three point hitch for 400 and your hitch. there are a couple of companies that make conversions. Try to find one that incorporates a regular hitch with it if you can. Otherwise you be changing hitches when you want to use pull equipment with the pto hooked up.

One used to be able to order one from CT Farm and Country (Now Quality and now going out of business) I have seen stuff on the web about Saginaw in Michigan over on th IH/Farmall page. They look really nice.

Jim,

Are you serious and certain about CT (now Quality) going out of business or are you just commenting on the poor stocking of the store and the indifference of the personel? It sure seems like the store in my area is about to close up as a lot of the shelves are bare and I would think this would be the season to stock up and sell. They haven't had any electrical stuff in weeks. When I asked about it they said they had packed it up to be returned as it it didn't fit their inventory listing. Just wondering!

The latest I heard was that stores of a certain size or $ sales were going to close. I am in SE Minnesota and the two (Hastings and Dundas)were closing. Too bad I missed my decal set for the IH M, waited a couple of days and they sold out. Also, it seemed to be a place where my Ag friends showed up during lunch so we could talk a bit (rare but fun). I am not sure why they didn't make it. I think staffing was an issue, some of the clerks were great, some were...the kicker is now I have to go 30 miles to Fleet Farm (huge farm store in Upper Midwest) instead of 3 miles over lunch.
