JD 48 Loader on a 1650?

Do you know if a JD48 is a good match for a 1650?
I need to go look at it but it is a long drive and there is no since if its not the right size.

I know it's full hyd. and has a 5' bucket.

Anyone have the specs? Max lifting weight, max heigth?

The 48 JD loader should work fine on your 1650 Oliver.You will have to fabricate the mounting brackets yourself.I have an 1800 with a John Deere model 46(older version)on it,and it works fine(even though it is the wrong color green!) You may have to adjust your relief valve if you experience jerkiness going down.You can also paint it the correct color of green,as I did.

I've got a loader on my oliver 550 I will sell for 2500.00. full hydraulic, in good operating shape. It is a white unit from about 1973. Will also trade for a boxblade plus cash/??.

I went and looked at it. It is probably worth the $1500.00 the man is asking for it but I didn't feel it was what I wanted. The bucket has been modified big time (extended). It's about 3 different colors, and its a single cylinder (center) hyd. bucket cylinder. I would rather buy a new KD for a couple of thousand more.

The guy selling it is a big time jerk also....

I think the 48 (or is it 148?) should be "graftable" onto your tractor- if memory serves me, I think that size was used on 3020's and others about the same physical size as a 1650. You should be able to find one close to home to look at and measure- check with your local John Deere dealer, and I'll bet he knows some in your area. Be aware that there will be no brackets to make the conversion- you'll have to make your own. Take some measurements, and see if you can make it fit.
