A few years ago I purchaed a Cockshutt 30 and the brakes were in a box with the tractor. Shortly after I realized that the shoes (clamping style exactly like many 30's) were too large for my tractor and the brake drums that were on it. Eventually I did find the correct ones and the tractor is now restored. Meanwhile, I found out where at sometime in the production run of the 30's, they went to a larger shoe (and drum) of the same design. Is there any way I could find out if these are the ones I've got? They definitely are NOT from a 40 or a 50 which are somewhat larger still. Someone even suggested they might be off a model 35. I would like to advertise them for sale but it's hard to sell something that you're not sure what it's from. Anyone out there have any suggestions or advice as to what I have or how I could find out for sure???
