there is no hydraulics to the steering or 3-point hitch put new pump on it .didnt fix has anyone had this problem. because you cant drive it because the thing wont steer.motor runs cant figure out.

The unloader valve may be stuck open or has a broken spring. Why did you replace the pump? What the hyd. were doing before might help determine what is still wrong with it.WB.

Sounds like the spline coupler in the center of the flywheel has torn up. This turns the shaft which runs the PTO and hydraulic pump. If the PTO still works ok, you may have stripped the bevel gears that drive the hyd. pump off that shaft. One other possibility is that the pump de-stroked and the control valve isn't giving it the signal to start pumping again. I've seen it happen before to the Vickers pumps on these closed center systems. To test for that you need a shop manual and a protractor. (i'm not kidding)
the protractor measures the pump stroke. E-mail me, maybe I can help. I nursed a 1955 through these ailments. Karl.

See my post below.The pump will not pump if there is to much air in the pump. Are you sure the pump is turning.
