Just came back from looking at a 500 Oliver with a cracked block. Runs as well but he wants $2500.00 Canadian. If you want info i have lots for you. Elmer

The price was probably about right, if its in good condition. What you have is a David Brown tractor in Oliver clothing. I can't remember what model David Brown- but parts will be from Case IH, which took over Case, which imported David Brown (whew!). I would also check the Case bulletin board regarding exactly which model David Brown we're talking about- I knew at one time, but it has "slipped away".

The David Brown was a Model 850, years 1960 to 1963.Gas or diesel, 154 cid, six-speed trans, diff lock, three-point hitch with draft control. Nebraska test applies to Oliver 500
Good luck

Price isn't that bad, if it's what you wanted. I saw an Oliver super 88 deisel sell at auction tonight for $1300.
