Has anyone figured out a good way to attach a regular 3-point top link to an Oliver that uses the yoke attachment setup? I'd like to use a 3-point post hole auger on my 1650 but can't figure out how to attach a stationary top link pin to attach it to. If anyone has an idea I can use please pass it on. Thanks!

This was several years ago when these tractors were current, but when we bought a post hole digger new, we had to buy an adapter kit for the top link that was manufactured by the company that built the digger. The boom of the digger was meant to replace the top link of the tractor. We had to remove the existing top link at the two mounting points, and then 'Z' shaped brackets bolted on with two bolts each through the holes where the pins went. This allowed the use of the digger. dwm

Thanks! That's exactly what I'm looking for. If I had a drawing or a picture of that bracket I could build one. With use of the posthole auger not much weight needs to be supported, so it doesn't have to be of really heavy plate. Thanks again!

I have the same problem on my 1655. I have not found anything to replace it yet -- the PTO cover is almost in the way.

I remember this question from about 6 months ago. Heres the answer again. You must remove the entire toplink and the U shaped bracket that attaches it to the tractor. Then you have two choices. You can either purchase a bolt on bracket from your local White dealer (was about $90 a couple of years ago) or you can make your own bracket for about $10 worth of iron. I made my own bracket. It would be difficult to describe the bracket, the best way is to go to your dealer and ask to see the bracket, you will then get an idea on how to build it. It's very simple to build if you have a torch and a welder.
Good Luck!

Thanks Jim! I figured I could weld up a bracket to fit the same mounting holes, but I wasn't sure of the correct geometry of the thing. Now that I know the local White shop has access to a bracket, I can either buy or build one. That's great! Thanks again, Jim.
