Does this seem low to anyone else? I thought it would go a little higher than this. Was there something wrong with it?

I thought it was a little on the high side.

It just seems low to me since it's a relatively rare tractor (@1,200 produced) which seems to be sought after by more than a few (heck, even common models of those other green ones sell regulary for $3,500). I have an old style 88 RC that I am in the process of bringing back to life and I know that before I get it done, I will have more into it than what Evert's sold for (if I don't include anything for labor). I even picked it up pretty cheap ($400.00). I guess I thought I wouldn't be just wasting my time and money on something a little unique like this 88, maybe I should paint it John Deere green to make it worth more ;-).

In reply to the old style 88 that sold for 3750.00. I think it should of brought 4500.00 to 5500.00. It sure looked nice in the picture that was on the auction bill. I think someone got a bargain that day. We have one that runs good but needs painting, has a cast iron wide front and we've been offered 4500.00 over the phone for it.
