A good durable tractor. Big plus - the Gm engine. Big drawback - the GM engine. The engines are durable, relatively economical and have lots of power, WHEN you can keep the revs up. They do not lug well and again, the revs must be way up to make power. The noise is really hard to take day after day. Do not consider this thing for a lot of part throttle, utility work. They are full-throttle, steady load sluggers. If you need a more flexible tractor for different jobs, consider an 1850. Good Luck. Tom

Also, keep in mind that the Detroit powered Olivers are in high demand with tractor pullers, and if you can find one at a "sleeper" price, you can make some money turning it at your nearest tractor pull next spring.
