have found an oc-6 chassis for sale. has been fitted with a gm 6-cyl. is the motor/radiator the same as a 77? any info appreciated

A 77 motor will fit into your chasis. The clutch area is different. No cast clutch housing is required in the OC-6 , and the connection between the rear end and input shaft are different. Also 77 sheetmetal will not fit correctly on an oc-6 because of the different side panels. Let me know if you have questions, I have restored and OC-6 Diesel and I also have a OC-6 gas, and OC-4 Gas. The OC-6 had the 193.9 (194) CID engine in both the diesel and gas versions. This is the same motor that was in the original 77 tractors. However, when Oliver introduced the Super series in 1954, the bore was increased from 3 5/16 to 3 1/2 inches, resulting in a 216 CID motor. This motor, though based on the same block, was never fitted to the OC-6 which continued to use the 194 CID motor until production ceased in 1960 when White Motors bought Oliver.
