1850 diesel is a Perkins, it is unlikely that someone changed engines, because the frame was made for the Perkins and is unique.

Any Oliver 1850 Diesel regardless of year has a 352CID Perkins engine. The only other engines offered in Olivers were Wakashau, Hercules, Catapiller and GM(Detroit). If your tractor is a true 1850 Diesel it will have a Perkins. The only Perkins put in Olivers was the 352CID 6 cylinder. Hope I could help,

Denny

I have a 1650-1655 Oliver tractor, looking for
used parts to convert to manual or 3 point hitch
operation.

Oliver also used Continental engines (in the Super 44/440) as well as Minneapolis-Moline engines in the 2055, 2155 and 2655. Don't forget that Oliver also sold tractors under their name buit by David Brown as well as Fiat.

Ron, If memory serves Oliver offered several diesel engines in 67. Your best bet would be to pull the serial No. and check at a White dealer.
The HP should be 92/93
