There's this Cockshutt 30 that I've been eyeing. The only problem - it's in Canada, and the US based shipping companies won't pick it up unless it's brought to the border. Can any Canadians recommend a shipping company, either to haul it directly to N. Calif., or at least to a storage facility on the SK/ND or SK/MT border? The tractor is located in Foam Lake, SK. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated!

I recommend Arnold Bros. Transport. I'm not sure if they go that deep into the US, but they have hauled tractors for me from Canada-Stateside. I can't give you any idea on a price, but I will guarantee you a tractor haul of that distance WON'T be cheap. I've found Arnold Bros. easy to work with, and helpful. Your tractor would be in good hands and insured with them.

Thanks, dsl! It looks like I'll either have to use a Canadian based transporter, or find a non-commercial individual that just happens to be going my way! I figure it's not going to be cheap - and will probably be half the cost of the tractor itself! Oh well, there aren't that many Cockshutts to choose from out here...

There is a trucking compny in Wallaceburg Ontario. They truck all over the U.S.A. and Canada. They may be a possibility. I don't know their number but information could give it to you. The area code is 519 and the first 3 local numbers are 627. May be worth a try. Good luck.
