1600D Engine... what is it really???

A friend just got a 1600 Diesel home and got it running... The guy he bought the tractor from said that it did not have the correct engine in it.. and it fits good.. but the air clean and a other little thing are not right.. We are just wonderning what this engine really is.. we were told it as a Su88/880 or something close... Also can you tell me the HP of this engine,(PTO Hp would be great) and the factory hp of the 1600 with the correct engine in it..

I could not find an engine tag, just the casting number behind the starter on the left side of the block. They were
190320
K1000 or K100G or K100C (I could not read the number/letter very well...)

ITs an older engine bigest differance is the 1600 had a high speed injector pump that alowed it to turn at 1900 under load. this engine will work well as the pto speed is high at 1900 any way. Power is close to the same.
