Re: purchasing old Oliver crawler... It will cost you much more than you think... I purchased an OC-3 that had been parked for 10 years. "Ran when parked" according to the farmer. I paid $500 for it. Zimmerman's has all the parts. I rebuilt the engine first, then found other problems. One by one I fixed the transmission, the brakes, the tracks... I now have more than $10,000 into a tractor that's worth maybe $3,500.... and I haven't done anything to the sheet metal yet. Oh yes, and the shear pin that runs the fan pully keeps shearing off, so I can't run it until I take it apart again. Fortunately, my wife hasn't divorced me over this yet, but she did make me move it behind the barn so she doesn't have to look at it every day. The barn cats enjoy playing on it. Someday it's going to look great. Yes, your little Oliver crawler is worth $400, but be aware that's just a drop in the bucket before you actually drive it. You could have a very nice restored wheel tractor for much less!
