I would check everything Highboyford said. I just bought a White 2-70 and had chronic overheating. Everything checked out good, it turned out to be a bunch of dust in the radiator. The dealer told me to spray it out with a garden hose. After using it one day, I sprayed it out while idleing at 1800rpm. I shut it down and then sprayed degreaser in it. An hour later I fired it up again and hosed it out. It's been good ever since.

Here are somethings I would look for.Check fluid level.Check oil level any water in the oil,or oil in the radiator?Check screen in front of radiator is it clean?Radiator is not impacted with dirt.Timming correct (never know what the last person did).Look at the hoses. Is the fan ok grab it does it move up and down? how about the shroud is it gone or cut up?Are you sure the guage is correct? Then I would pull the thermostat put on stove and check even if it is good i would put a new one in.Or are you over working the tractor? What are you trying to do with it?
