The capacity of your "880" transmission is 4-1/2 Gallons. Use a good quality 10-30 motor oil all year round in the transmission.I use the same in the engine. The older Oliver tractors had a 90-140 gear lube in the transmission. My manual says that when it's time to change the gear lube , put 10-30 in them also.Oliver has some high speed gears in the transmission which require constant lubrication which the 90-140 gear lube is not satisfactory. What ever you do , do not use 90-140 gear lube if your tractor has a power booster drive. The advise I had just given you , came strait from my manual. The manual I have , covers from the fleet line through the 3 didget.
