hi folks , just bought a oliver 880 needs a clutch does anyone know how big of a job it will be to change the clutch in it. also some type of cost for parts,any tips would be great thank you in advance. ed

No big deal to it. Remove hood, fuel cell and steering console, unbolt PTO and slide it back. There is a tube that has a set bolt that goes into the rear of the bell housing, remove bolt and slide the tube backwards. Remove the bellhousing and there it is!
Cost wise, the friction plate can have new material riveted back on at a nominal cost. The throwout bearing shouldn't be a problem if it has been serviced. The pressure plate is going to be the only costly item. I'm not sure on the price but around $80 sounds about right. While you are there check the end splines on the PTO shaft and where it locates in the rear of the crankshaft. If either are worn, this is the time to replace them. Bush hogs are rough on these parts. Hope this helps.

what do i need to do to remove pto shaft to change the#$@%$^&&* clutch.can you help? would you be able to copy manual for me?
any help would be grateful thanks
