If you put it on the belt drive, then you won't have live hydraulics. Every time you push in the clutch, the hydraulics will quit. I'm not sure of your plans for the hydraulics, but believe me, you want live hydraulics.

If you have a 1948 Oliver 88, then find a hydraulic pump unit for and 88 or 77. It will sit under the dash. You have to remove shift plate cover and the unit will sit right there. Check a few salvage yards, you will have better this way than trying to mount a unit somewhere else. Let me know if you have questions.
