I would like to put a Oliver 77 gas engine about 1952 into a 770 Oliver diesel loader backhoe. The diesel thru a rod. I couldn't find a used engine, but I did find a 77 gas engine.I don't need the fuel economy of the diesel as this is just a farm tractor. Besides I had trouble starting the diesel in cold weather. the rest of the tractor is in good shape. What kind of problems will I run into, and is it possible? Thank you.

i did that also, the only trouble i ran into was with the steering shaft, i had to place a piece to make the shaft stick out about 1" from the original position
