Hi again...thank you all for your kind help! You may be wondering why it is me asking the Oliver questions and not my husband,...quite simply..he's a work-a-holic! I am passing on all the good adivse we are getting.

I want to call upon you again: During the 3pt hitch problem he is having (see lower on this page), it was suggested that what might have caused it was low fluid. This may sound a little strange but, when he added the fluid it doesn't seem to reach the dip stick..anotherwords, it seems a though he could put in four gallons and not have enough! How much fluid does the Super 55 take before it fills? He doesn't want to add too much but seems like it's an empty well!

P.S. Could someone refer me to somewhere that I could buy him a manual and a "comfy" seat cover for his tractor (the seat has a little crack it in).

Again, you all have been so kind, we both appreciate your help!!!

Be sure that he is adding the fluid to the hydralics AND NOT THE TRANSMISION!!! My guess is that if he has added a couple of gallons or more and you are not seeing it on the dip stick 1) it is being added to the transmision or 2)the hydralic pan which is sheet metal has a hole in it and the fluid is ending up in the transmission. The hydralics are acting up because of the lack of fluid - my guess is that only the lower level of the sheet metal pan is holding any fluid and this gets used up quickly causing the jumping of the 3 ph. Just a guess!

PS - check the transmision oil level and drain down if high or it will end up in the brakes and leaking out all the other seals also!!!

You can buy a padded seat cover at a Fleet & Farm type of store or an implement dealer. I just like to use a small rag rug type of pad, and take it off if I have to leave it out in rain. I'm sure someone will have the fluid capacities for you. Only info I have is for a 550, which is 9 qts. You may require more since you run a loader??? Mark
