Oliver 77 hood repair kit

My 1951 Oliver 77 hood has been reworked (very crudely) to allow a standard muffler to be attached to the exhaust manifold. Apparently the former owner took to it with tin snips and chisel to enlarge the hole. It now has a hole about 3 times too large with rusted and uneven edges.
If my memory serves me correctly, I seem to have seen mention of a hood repair kit which may be purchased. Where would I get ahold of one of these kits? How much are they? What is involved in repairing these? Am I better off to take it to an auto body shop for repair?
Once I have repaired the edges, how do I know exactly where to make the correct hole, or should I buy the under hood muffler (which I assume was standard), then mark the hood at the outlet?
I have searched the archives to no avail. Any help would be appreciated.

if you use the original style muffler the exhaust is out the side eliminating cutting holes in the hood and much neater. I have an extention on the outlet an elbow and the up tube lenght up to you. I also had an ugly hole to repair[weld]

Contact Korves Bros @ Red Bud, IL 618/939-8723. They had a sample part at Waterloo show. A rather large weld-in piece of proper thickness and radius - probably best done by a body shop if you want it perfect. Brochure doesn't give price. Haven't used it, but looks to have potential.
