How do I identify the type of carburator I have on my RC-88. I do not see any markings on it if there ever were any.

Thanks
Jim

Jim,

According to my I&T shop manual the 88 HC (gasoline) used the Marvel Schebler TSX-374 the 88 HC (gasoline) prior to #6502000 used the Zenith model #11580 carb. the 88 HC (gasoline) after #6503000 used the Marvel Schebler model TSX-610 carb.or the Zenith #11705 carb. And the 88 KD (distillate or tractor fuel) used a Marvel Schebler TSX-221 carb. I hope these numbers might help you determine what you have. It makes it about as clear as mud .There should be a name or number on the carb casting someplace or perhaps a small round tag riveted on with numbers on it. You may need to remove the carb and really clean it good to find the numbers on it. Sometimes the built up gunk makes it tough to read . I wish this manual was a little more clear on the break down on models but what I posted above is all that is listed.

Good Luck Please post what you find !
