1655 coil

can somebody out there tell me if the coil for a 1655 is to have internal or external resistance. Can't see any resistors, but some use resistor wires. Thanks in advance

e jenson as far as I know there is no resistor used for the coil on the 1655 coils or any other coils on the olivers for that matter. The only exceptions to that would be for the ones that have been converted from 6volts to 12 volts then they would use a ballast resistor to convert 12 volts down to 6 volts for the ignition system.
