Oliver 770 puller -Update ( Torque amplifier?)

Thanks Gary, Terry and Bob for your input, I bought the tractor and find that it has a lever to the left of the dash that seems to be a High/low or a torque amplifier of some sort. Is anyone familiar with what this is and what ratio it reduces. I have never seen one on an Oliver. Please let me know what I have. Thanks again. Dan

You have the Hydra Power system that allows for 12 forward speeds and 4 reverses. It was later followed by the Over/Under system that had a low and high range off the normal direct drive.

My memory is that it provides about a 20% reduction in ground speed.

Your 770 does not have a hydra power drive, it has a power booster drive. The hydra power drive is hydraulically operated while the power booster drive is a manual clutch.
