Help! Tire suggestions please

My ranch has very sandy, soft soil. I need
new tires for my tractors. My current tires
(standard tread, about 50%) just dig straight
down when I'm using my front-end loader, instead of propelling the tractor forward.

I've looked at

Clearly, there's a big difference in tread design.

Any idea which one is going to help me? The
one with the mondo-tread or the one with little
tread?

I'm going to rear duals to help with this
aslo.

You might think about using a larger size on the front also as you need all the floatation for the front tires that you can get! But getting more wt. on the rears is a must - load them or wheel wts. Or some fellows will carry a 55 gal barrel or a box on the 3 pt. hitch filled with sand, cement, or rocks or whatever for weight.

I agree with the suggestions for rear weight. Your problem isn't too little rear tire, it's lack of weight. I have a 4-wheel drive tractor with loader, and in 2wd, it's a pig, the rears spin, the braking is bad - especially down-hill with a full bucket. Put it in 4 so the rears can't just spin, it's a different machine. The extra rear weight will also make it easier to dig, or get the bucket into the pile.

Aarons right about the tires. Something else you need to consider is rear balast when using that loader. The down force of the loader is making the back of that tractor alot lighter and break traction more quickly. If you have 50% tread life left on your existing tires, I'd spend alittle money on back wheel weights instead of alot of money on brand new tires. Even if you get new tires either load them or get some wheel weights. The difference will be night and day. Later. Greg H.

I'd just go with the standard R1 treads. Those AWT's are more for turf and won't provide any grip at all if you are pulling. If you are having problems with the tires spinning out when pushing or something like that, then I doubt any one type of tire will help. I'd just go buy a set of standard R1's and use your old tires for duals. Bigger lugs will just make the hole faster, and those turf tires will just spin on top. You need wider tires. Maybe go one size bigger than you have now. Duals would help too.
