Oliver diesel injection pump question

I have a question about the American Bosch diesel injection pump on a different "color" tractor. The tactor sat in an enclosed dry building for 5 years, (no rust inside any of the covers on pump, oily as can be in there).

The injection pump horizontal shaft turns (on both ends) and it pumps fuel to the filters, but the vertical shaft in the pump does not turn to distribute the (high pressure) fuel to each injector. Is there a coupling in there or what? I can not look in a book for my tractor since that brand does not "want" you to fiddle with it. I have taken off the side cover, top, and end cover and cannot see a problem. Yet looking in the side cover while cranking the tractor, I can plainly see the toothed "gear" is not turning.

I can already hear some comments about owning the wrong brand of tractor, but at least it is the right pump????? It should be similar to a Oliver 88? Anyway, any ideas? Besides paint it a shade of green? Thanks on Advance

THE PLUNGER THAT PUMPS THE HIGHPRESSURE SIDE OF THE FUEL DRY STUCK AND TWISTED OFF THE QUILL SHAFT AS THE OTHER FELLOW HAS SAID I HAD SAME PROBLEM WITH MINE I BIT THE BULLET AND SENT PUMP TO A SPECIALTY INJECTION PUMP DEALER AND THEY FIXED IT ALSO HAD TO MAKE A PUMP HEAD TOO.ALL THIS COST 900.00 IN 1995 BUT TRACTOR STARTS DOWN TO 15 DEGREES WITH NO EITHER I HAVE BEEN PULLING THIS TRACTOR SINCE WITH NO PROBLEMS AT ALL AND WIN MANY STOCK PULLS WITH IT PUMP WAS ON OLIVER 77 DIESEL AND WAS A PSB MODEL GOOD LUCK!!!

Wayne you are alot braver then I am,no matter what color the tractor I take all my pumps to a diesel shop.The one I use gives estimates so you can find another pump for parts or to rebuild.I bought a Oliver once that the people before me decided that the front drive gear didnt need to have the bolts wired together and they came lose on the pump and sure chewed things up.Made a good donor anyway.

Sounds like the shaft on the rotor broke.I had a 880 do that after setting 6 years. The rotor is part of the head very expenseive.
