Hydralic fluid leaking into tranmission.

Hi to all,

I have an Oliver 77 (year ?) with the hydralic controls located on top of the transmission. The problem is that the hydralic fluid leaks into the transmission case over time. I've heard there are o-rings that need replaced. Has anyone else had this problem? Thanks Rod

: Rod the hydralic pump hangs under the resevoir and is sealed by 2 o-rings, 1 for draft, and 1 for high pressure. You could possibly have a hydralic pump leaking out of the driven shaft. Also you have to remove the PTO drive shaft out of the back of the tractor in order to remove the hydralic housing. I hope this sheds a little light on your problem. Good Luck.

Thanks for the info ShadeTree. I hope it's the o-rings and not the shaft seal! Rod
