What is happening? One moment were brain storming ideas for a new Oliver company and answering questions on old Oliver tractors. Now it is a war zone on the Oliver Message Board, Deere bashing Oliver vs. Oliver Bashing Deere, and about half a dozen people being the refere. People do come and read these messages. Do you want people thinking that these Oliver people are a bunch of disfunctional hoodlums? Oliver and the people that own and work on them have nothing to be intimidated by (Including Deere). Oliver and Deere have good products and not so products. If there was a perfect company that made a perfect product. they wouldn't be in business very long because they wouldn't make any money making repairs if it didn't break down. It is ok to set a Deere or Oliver Person straight if they crossed the Line. Just use appropriate language. Arguing doesn't get people very far. Good example is when White Motor tried merging Oliver, M.M., and Cockshutt. Everybody was arguing on what name,and color to put on the future tractors. Which hampered them to develop tractors for a least 4 years 1970-1974. Leading them to a new name "White" and a new color "Grey", in which grey was a nuetral color which made everybody happy. This is part of what made white fail as a company. Instead of arguing they should of looked at who had the largest market share "Oliver" and went with that name and color. Don't get caught up in arguing.The more you wresle a pig in the mud the more he likes it. Just remember to help people preserve Olivers.
