What is my 770 worth? It's diesel, power steering, wide front, duals, power buster, recent paint and 500 hrs on engine rebuild.

77 Diesel, NF, mecanical lift, no belt pully, tires are origional but worn considerable, fresh paint, Tractor is compleatly origional except for muffler, paint and front tires.

What Are these worth? I'm not selling them just looking for some ball park figures.

What Could I expect to pay for the following tractors?

1650/55 2 or 3 speed Diesel?

1750/55 2 or 3 speed Diesel?

1855 Diesel?

1950-T/ 1955?

2050?

2150?

If you can help me out on any of this. I'd appreciat it.

There is a 770 gas, WF, good shape, for sale in the Michigan Thumb area for $3000. This tractor has the 3 point hitch which is about $500 extra, plus the wide front. 77's are a no sale locally at $2000, although Super 77's brought $2500-3700 last summer at auction.

A local used equipment dealer has an 1855 turbo diesel he is selling. It has good tires, runs and looks good, everything works, he is asking $5000. That might help give you an idea

I live in western New York.I bought a Oliver 770 about 5 or 6 years ago.I paid 3,400.00 for the tractor. At the time , I think the price was a little on the high side. But , the tractor was in exellent original shape."It was a nice tractor".Besides looking and running nice , it also had the Power Booster Drive , Power steering , Delux seat , and about 50% rubber.I never regretted paying the money I did for this tractor. Here is my story:I was looking to buy another tractor. It was going to be another Oliver.I was driving down the road one day and was coming apon some nice well kept barns just ahead. As I was driving by , I looked to my left in time to see the tractor with a feed grinder hooked to it.I said to myself , NOW THAT"S A NICE TRACTOR.I turned around and drove back to the farm. The farmer and I were just shooting the bull about that model tractor.I told him that I just looked at an Oliver"770" a few days before. They were asking $3400.00 for it.The farmer quickly responded by saying , for $3400.00 , I'll sell you mine.I said OK.I'll be back in the morning with the money. He says , wait a minute. You caught me off gard.We don't normally sell a good tractor. He said he needed a night to sleep on it , along with talking to his partner. The next day the farmer called my house. He said he would sell me the tractor only with the understanding that he gets first chance to buy it back , should I decide to sell it.It was a deal! The 770 was bought brand new on the farm in 1959.All the tractors on the farm today are big and modern. All the "770" did any more was grind feed. The tractor was always inside out of the weather. The men would grind feed in the barn. Then pull the tractor and feed grinder out side to get washed down with a power washer. And back in side they would go untill next time.I just happened to drive by at that time. Before that , I never knew the tractor existed at that farm. The farmer told me that he was not selling the tractor for the money. He was going to put $20,000.00 with the money from the "770" and up date his feed grinding tractor.

Prices depend on where you live.look down a couple post about what prices are out east on 88 and you will see what i mean. But ballpark 770 is $2200 and up,widefront alone worth $500 to $800.Being a Diesel is good too but I have seen alot of rebuilt engines bring less than tractors that smoke and I dont know why.(guess you know what you have when it smokes)The 77d I dont really know havet seen one sold in awhile. The rest figure for good ones $4500 and up.Otherwise Ive bought a 1655 that needed work for $2000 and bought a good 2050 8 years ago for $4500.But most of the good ones here seem to be around $4500.

These gus might find them priceless, as they are deer slayers even in a rusted pile of parts. Kidding guys. I like they way you can defend your tractors without getting personal, keep it up. I saw a 770 diesel, very clean, repaint, narrow front, power steering, hydraulics, not sure on the power booster thing, as I didn't know they had one till after I looked at it, said 600 hours, but I'm sure it had more than that. very clean, repint, but a good one. Asked for a friend and the dealer quoted me $1750. Saw their listing in the local paper and they are advertising it at $2,500. Not very familair with Olivers, but seemed like a good deal at $2,000. Bit steep at 2500, though.
