The injector removal tool from Owatonna Tool company (OTC) is part number JDE 38.

I looked on their website and a search returned "no results" for that number.

Can anyone clarify?

Thanks.

Mark

Maybe they do not list it that way as was mentioned by Mr. Star, it has a John deere tool number and you may find they are only available from Deere. I needed a different Deere service tool for a class I teach and it took me 2 months to get it. It was "special order only" for about the same age tractor. J.

I was told that an injector puller is best by a mechanic who worked on Ollies. That is the reason for my asking. I haven't tried pulling them but the mechanic said they bend easy.

If they are stuck that tight you have a problem. Original servive information when the direct injection engine was introduced was to use a puller that OTC made as a Deere service tool. Also always replace the lower seal and I would get the little tool if still availabe if you are going to do more of this. Soak the Teflon seal in hot water before installing.

i take it you have the waukesha engine in this 1755, why would you need a injector puller, with a bit of care and a small prybar you should be able to wriggle them out, just take care not to bend them but to apply pressure straight up.
if the teflon seal is gone it could be hard to get them out[rusted in]in that case soak the injector base with W40 for a day and try to turn them back and forth in the bore till loose.
good luck
