Most of the time the pan under the hyd.system has a hoe in it, the pan doesn't cost much if you have a way to remove the hyd. system.

First of all hook the remote cylinder up and time it. I have the specs at home, check the pressure with unit at working temperature. Right now I can not give them to you as I am a 1000 miles from them till next Wednesday. J.

Find out if the pump still works while there is oil in the resevoir. We already know you'll have to remove the unit anyway but if the pump is working and it's shaft is not showing signs of slack I would replace the pump seal, look for a hole worn into the resevoir pan and replace the seal for the three point draft control arm if so equiped.

The hydraulic unit is under seat.

The pan above the diff has a hole worn in it,a gasket sealing the pan to the hydraulic housing is bad,or the hydraulic front pump seal is out.

When you say "It will fill the tranny in 15 min",is this with the engine running or off? May help narrow it down to one or two culprits.

I'd be interest to hear what people have to say about this one as well. My father-in-law's 1600 started doing the same thing this spring. Wouldn't mind some perspective before tearing her open.
